Michael Bailey

Michael Bailey is a GIS Administrator and designer with over 9 years of experience in the utility industry. He began his career as a web and graphic designer with a focus on e-commerce. In 2013, he discovered Geographic Information Systems and immediately realized the limitless potential of the technology.

Michael's passion for GIS led him to join a local utility company, where he converted their outdated processes to a fully digital, enterprise-level system. He was eager to share his experience with other utilities and demonstrate how they could achieve similar results. In 2018, he was accepted to speak at the ESRI User Conference in San Diego, CA, the largest GIS conference in the world. As a presenter at the conference, Michael was able to display his successes and network with other utility teams, aiding with challenges they were facing.

Michael holds a degree in Information Systems from Southern New Hampshire University. He is currently a GIS Analyst with Harriman Utility Board and manages all GIS and design-related duties, including the administration of HUB’s cloud server, the company website, and graphic design.
